What it's like
to work with us

Genuinely one of the most valuable training sessions I have participated in. Not only is the quality of the context brilliant (detailed, really well thought-through and relevant) but the delivery of the session, facilitated by Arron, Andrew and Mark, was done in a way that encouraged rich discussion, allowed everyone to have a voice, and created an environment where we listened and learned from each other. I highly recommend this training for anyone who wants a fresh perspective on operating model design.

The University of Bradford recently had the pleasure of working with Hudson & Hayes to review our processes relating to how we manage academic misconduct allegations and investigations. From the outset, H&H colleagues worked in a proactive and collaborative way, helping us not only make our chosen process more efficient, streamlined and fit for the future, but also educating us about some of the fundamentals of lean process design and automation which will be beneficial for multiple areas of the University. This opportunity for development was extended beyond the immediate project team to colleagues across our organisation, demonstrating Hudson and Hayes’ commitment to supporting partners holistically and not gatekeeping expertise within a single project that could benefit a wider audience. Throughout the project, the team at H&H took time to fully understand our context through engagement with a range of stakeholders and proposed solutions which were bespoke and realistic to this context, taking into consideration both our specific needs as well as any project parameters. On a personal level, the H&H team have been really enjoyable to work with. They have been very approachable and supportive, as well as accommodating and patient as together we have navigated the murky world of higher education administrative processes! I highly recommend them to other Universities or other organisations wishing to improve their ways of working through process redesign and automation.

We approached Hudson and Hayes for Target Operating Model training to upskill a team delivering a transformation programme at our law firm. The three-day course was comprehensive and led by experienced, approachable trainers. Each aspect of the training was accompanied with practical, hands-on tools which we were able to take away and apply. The examples referenced throughout the training covered various different industries and predicaments, which aided the learning for attendees at all levels of previous experience. The trainers also took time to advise us on some particular challenges we were facing on our programme, which enabled us to successfully overcome these post-course. There were frequent learning check ins and the ability to adapt the course to focus on aspects which were most relevant for our programme. Our training leads went over and above, tailoring content for us between sessions to enable this, which we greatly appreciated. The trainers were also able to provide marked up examples of use of the TOM tools at our request, to enable us to get the most out of them independently following the course. I would absolutely use Hudson and Hayes again for training and will recommend them to other operations excellence professionals in my network.

Some of the team from the Transformation and Projects Department attended the 'Lean Practitioner & Intelligent Automation Course' in December 2021. Not all the team could attend all day long sessions due to workloads, but Hudson&Hayes was very flexible in arranging a staged course which suited our needs much better. It was nice to work with a consultancy that was accommodating and offered us a solution to our challenging workloads and training needs. The course was delivered remotely and allowed us to engage interactively. The modules were nicely spread out, with plenty of time for group activity and questions. All in all, the team got a lot out of the course, and we would recommend it for anyone thinking about doing a similar course with Hudson&Hayes.
